Why? What’s The Goal of Cafe Pasadena? If it can only be one thing let it be our desire to bring the residents & others who spend much of their time in Pasadena closer together. To build connectedness & interconnectedness and therefore, enhance community well-being. We may never reach this goal, but let us assist in getting us all closer. In this regard, an emphasis will be toward giving “Free PR” to locals and the good works they are doing, here on The WorldWide Web.
If I could achieve a 2nd goal with this site it would be to make my readers more familiar with our Pasadena History. To make our history more freely & easily accessible. So an occasional article will be posted here about something in our past.
A dream job would be to be paid to hang out at different restaurants/cafes & meet with different people. However, if you need any financial help just let me know–I may be able to help, or guide you to someone who can.
Anyone who is a friend of food & restaurants is a friend of mine. I want the best for my friends.
Some of my postings here, & comments on other blogs, will be intentionally provocative in an attempt to stimulate thought/conversation. Thus, those will not necessarily be my own views but rather an assist to consider all “sides of the coin.”
I consider myself relatively boring in relation to my creative friends, yet “the underwire in the bra of life.” You can give blogger Kelly of WCGB credit for that insightful line!
I hope we can share on this blog in a civil, understanding, manner, understanding the value of each individual. Ok, enuf of me. It sounds kinda bland, ok, I’ve not even scratched the surface of my skin about who I am, but let’s just stop right here for now.
Oh, and I’m a rarity in these parts: an actual Southern Cal native.
PS: I don’t get paid for this. I do this FREELY in the hope you all can benefit in some way. I’m not a professional writer who has time to write & re-write (or is it edit & re-edit), so understand any typos, grammatical errors, etc., are not to be taken personally. So, if you catch yourself thinking, “Did he really say that?!” Well, probably not!! Oh,and I certainly don’t have any editors to edit for me. So, I just gotta get this on the internet to meet my deadline & because I gotta run & eat.
Love it !
Thanks. Welcome to LA & the Cafe Pasadena! Hope you’re able to get out to see as much of LA as one can while you’re here.
Comments closed – ok – you could have said so. I was feeling slighted. So are you starting back up? how bout as a cat?
Yeah, i should start up again soon. As long as I have a big backlog of stories/fotos, and my many loyal readers, how could I close down?
thats good.

I tried to leave a comment to your latest post and it said comments closed??? R u taking a break???
Yes, I’m taking a end of yr holiday break. However u can leave a comment on other posts.
Great, will do!
May I suggest you include “Pasadena Now” (www.PasadenaNow.com) in your links? Next to the Star News, we are the most-read website about Pasadena. Updated daily for 8 years, we have the largest & best-used Calendar of events (#1 in Google for 5 years), even a daily Spanish-language edition! Thank you.
Sure. I thot I had added PN before. (So many websites!) Hope you can do the same for CP.
Glad I found your blog! I have a lifestyle blog and am looking for local bloggers. Love what you’re doing

Randy
Yep, u finally made it. You could have gotten to Indiana faster! See u @ The Mkt!
My camera’s an Olympus SP350. It’s a low-end digital camera I’ve had for about 2 years. Nothing fancy. Has automatic settings and apparently manual settings too, which I’ll learn about now that I’ve finally printed out the 200-page manual. I’m slowly plowing my way through it. I try to be creative with shooting, but haven’t learned much about the camera itself yet. Onward and upward!
+1
It seems my browsing paid off because I stumbled upon your intriguing CP blog while browsing for pages that mention this American life. I operate a small manufacturingestablishment in Spring, Texas that makes political gifts. Check out my site sometime. Keep up the good work with your blog!
Thanks for commenting on my Euro Pane blog post. It’s something that the East is seriously lacking. Hoping to be back next year to try the croissants and interview Chef Chang.
I love food and appreciate your blog initiative. Keep up the good work!

I’d love to be able to follow you via RSS feed (subscribe to your blog). If you need help setting it up, let me know. You’ll get more followers
))
Thanks, Michelle! I have an RSS on the right column for content & comment. But, if you have a better subscription feeder then I’m all big dog ears for you! You & Irina have such great websites I wunder how you have time for your real jobs! :
Thanks for swinging by my blog and commenting, and for doing so on Masterpiece Together too! You’ve been added to my Google reader. Kudos to you and the role you play in bringing Pasadenian bloggers together!
Well well, you have a home! Lovely blog and the fact you’ve put yourself in the, ”a little unusual”, category makes me think I might just stop by from time to time….that is one trait I can relate to.
All the best, have a great day!

ginab continued: Mike, Petrea’s site still does not accept my login. I have queried the Google help group, which did not have helpful answers. I have great confidence in your expertise; if you can, please let me know what little thing I have missed. Thanks.
You commented on Petrea’s blog that you could probably easily sove my problem. Here’s your chance. I created a blog account (ginaburchard.blogspot.com) and a blogger identity (ginab) so that I could post comments on pasadena daily photo. Now what?
I have owned several cannon cameras, and highly recommend them. They always seem to have the most features for the least amount. I never had a problem outside of what I have caused (I am really ruff on stuff) They really seem to take a beating. Any model seems good, check cnet’s comparison chart to find the right one for you. Keep shooting.
Miss H, does that make you the question?? Have an energizing day.
Aha! You may be the answer to a semi prayer, a manifestation, what my goldfish told me yesterday.
I have ideas brewing. Soon, I shall send you an email with the crazy plan.
Petrea, you’re the best. But, I think you still like being an actress better than running your own website.
Hi Mike,
I had no idea you were here! What a gorgeous blog.
Do you know about the San Gabriel Valley bloggers get-together this Saturday, 6/28? email me if you want the information.

I notice you put me on your blogroll. Thanks very much. I haven’t created a Pasadena Blogs Blogroll yet but I’ve just gotta. I find a new one almost every day.
